i really dont like it when people post their scripts all scattered over the page... this guy put bits and pieces all over the place and feels hes got to explain everything inbetween. i cut and paste the crap and it doesnt work in ie or netscape. maybe this is cause im not putting stuff in the right place but ive been doing this for a long time. i dont have patience for examples that dont work. my suggestion: list the code, the complete code so all you have to do is cut and paste it ONCE into your editor and it works!... then explain how it works. most likely the people getting it will be smart enough to just look at the code and figure it out themselves. me, im hunting lots and lots of examples, i dont have time to make it work. very poor style whoever listed this.

The script hpagnacco mentions is in fact the one I posted to javascripts.com. In August of 2000 javascripts.com underwent an "Upgrade" and my script was lost which is why I have posted a direct link to my site.

Check this much simpler version. http://home.sprynet.com/~roywhittle/gng/demo/ns_hover/index.html (In NS and IE) Why mess about with SPANS and ILAYERS and special DoLoad functions when you can just add some javascript to the HEAD of your document and get the same effect? if you look at http://www.javascripts.com and search for "link color" you'll find "link color change, for Netscape! (ver1.2)" dated May 6th... this version removes that hidden DIV on the bottom of the page -- there is also a new JS file that needs to be sourced.  It works spankingly! http://javascripts.earthweb.com/scriptsource.cfm?Script_ID=26980
