We did originally implement a back() but unfortunately we found many sites also inserted extra pages in the history that redirected you forward. Closing the window was the only reliable solution. I considered having the button always direct you to the SiteExperts.com home page but I thought everyone would find that offensive :-)

When you run inte these sites (very common on warez sites too) often you don't want to close the browser.. you just want to go back.. instead of window.close() you should have history.back(); Or just have both as separate links

Wow Great!!!!!
I seem to be finding more and more sites (not at all adult) who think that breaking the back button or spawning new windows is acceptable behavior. Personally, I equate this to holding a person under water in the swimming pool. Or trapping them in a dark closet while running of giggling. |
