Using client-side XML persistance in IE5, we show you how to store a favorite list for your users.

Long Description
IE5 supports a more powerful "cookie" for storing data on the user's machine using XML. In this article, we demonstrate how to use the IE5 user data behavior to store and retrieve a site favorite list on the client's machine. The same techniques can be used to provide site personalization. No server scripting required!

I have tried to use Netscape 6.1 to test out the codes, and I found that the codes did not work. Does Netscape support the "User data behavior"??

respect for the code,
but the code seems to build a new favorites.xml for every page that are in different directories, anyone tested that ?

Turning the security settings to prompt before allowing cookies did not stop this favorites list from functioning. Would definitely like to know more about this!
