Although this is an excellent article, it doesn't address one critical aspect of DHTML...  Dynamic positioning of DIV tags relative to one another.  I am developing an intranet application that will only be used by folks with IE 5.5.  one of the display panels has multiple DIV tag content areas that need to be placed relative to one another in 2 columns.  The height of the div tags depends on the number of rows returned from a database query.  I have tried relative positioning  and it doesn't seem to work.  When I query the element using currentStyle, it returns the value AUTO.  I am trying to find out the heigh the browser has assigned not necessarily the default style.  Does anyone have any help for this out there?

This is excellent information. Too bad that Microsoft does not feel compelled to release information regarding the CSS capabilities of IE5. There is very little to be found anywhere. We are all reduced to testing on our own and there are lots of property:value couplets that need to be investigated.
