I hope not...

Let me rephrase it. If someone wants to do so (for whatever reasons), he/she would've to look for a VSS Linux client.
And since Linux comes with several working source control / versioning applications, I've slight doubts that there's such a thing.

A simple Google search will show...

I'd raise multiple firewalls, anti-virus scanners etc if so.

Try wimvs (windows, iis, ms-sql, visual studio) if you want to use vss...

for linux, like MHenke said, are more working programs availlable.

If your development environment is Windows, I'd expect VSS to be OK - I assume when you say LAMP / WAMP you mean the server environment.

A valid expectation, that is. Alas it's not fulfilled, at least not the last time I dared to've a look at the VSS functionality.
