 Logon error message using Intellisync for yahoo!

When starting a sync using Intellisync for yahoo!, an error message appears after keying in my Yahoo! ID and password that reads " Cannot log on to Yahoo. please re-enter your user name and password and try again ". I only have one Yahoo! ID. I have played with the log on configuration and uninstalled the Intellisync for yahoo 3 X as well as restarting the computer and the problem still persists. Anyone have any suggestions ?
