 I'm back!!

Well, it's been a while since I posted on here. I haven't really had a whole lot of time to do so lately.

Anyway, I recently developed an interest in AJAX and Silverlight.

I downloaded Microsoft's Visual Studio Express Edition 2008 (Visual Web Developer 2008 Express, and Visual C# 2008 Express). I got the Ajax Control Toolkit installed successfully.

Anyway, my question is this:

Is there any way I can do Silverlight through VWD 2K8 Express? I'd love to be able to do this. If not, what's a good work-around?

Based on my google searches, I can't do Silverlight with the Express editions. I don't have the cash to buy the full versions.

Well, welcome back then in the SE wasteland.
Seems that most of the regulars has left the building. Understandably, due to a 99% quota of generic link spam, PowerPoint2Whatever postings and other bullshit.

So, since it shouldn't be that a posting of an SE primary rock left unanswered, here's my answer to your question:

Dunno. :)

I believe you can but am not 100% sure. i think the latest toolkit and silverlight 2 will work. I'd check out silverlight.net as it probably will tell you there in the downloads section.

Even I do occasionally lurk here

I think the problem is that this place gets splurged with SPAM all the time now, so everytime I look at the New Forum Discussions list there's usually nothing of interest.
