Can connect to network, but not internet

I can connect to a number of local wireless LANs on my computer, but after I've connected, I can't get IE7 or Firefox to connect to the internet. It just says "Cannot load page" or "Trouble loading page."

What can I do, I've done all the stuff recommended by IE (adjust security settings, LAN settings, etc.) in Internet Options, but it still won't work. What should I do?

Make sure IE is not set as Work Offline (in File menu).

Have you set your dns and gateway correct?

Correct IP range? Correct subnet?

Obviously, DCMason can't see your suggestions. After all, he/she can't connect to the internet... 8)

Oh yes he/she can! He/she just connects using the same method he/she did to make the original post. ;-)
