One website blocked after IE7 installation

Installed IE7 on my pc (previously IE6 without problems) and now my most favorite website blocks - all other websites load normally. Ran Hijackthis and removed Error Safe, but the problem continues. Loaded Firefox, which is also unable to load that one page (www.eo.nl). Any idea?

Works fine on my IE 7 and also Firefox. I suspect you have another issue. Perhaps your firewall is blocking the address.

Good idea, except that I had not activated any firewall, so that cannot be the point. Any other suggestions?

Loads fine here in Firefox. have you tried your security settingd to a lower level? Else it might be Gods wish... :)

No firewall....are you crazy...???

My cousin tried that and within 30 minutes of connecting to the internet his machine was compromised and he had to rebuild...took him 3 rebuilds until I suggested he turn on the firewall...it was fine after that. So, you might want to try putting the windows firewall on - it could be too late though...

Another thing you could try is the IE7 reset tool which you can find in tools->internet options->advanced.

Either way, get a firewall turned on and get something like Spybot or adaware and give your machine a good scan. Also, make sure you have a virus checker (just not norton or mcafee - they suck and cause more problems than some viruses IMHO)

Routers have integrated firewalls. Maybe you are under one and you dont even know.

I am based in Dubai and use the VPN sevice provided by iptoken.com. Though this is a service primarily

designed for encrypting/ securing your wireless connections, it also does a good job of enabling you to access

all blocked sites in any country. I use it mainly for making pc2phone calls. It works for everything else as

well.
