Disassembling a computer
Ok...here's the problem.
I ordered all of the components for my computer (motherboard, RAM, CPU). Well, when I put the new motherboard in (the chassis comes out on that side, making installation easy), and tried to re-assemble, the RAM actually hits the metal part in the chassis where the CDR sits.
So the question I have is this: Is it possible to disassemble the chassis? I mean, there is an area where you slide the CDR into, and screw it into place. Can I remove that piece somehow?
Also, I can't figure out where everything plugs into. Like from the power button to the motherboard.
There has to be a way to strip the chassis down further. Anybody know how? It's for an HP xe813 that I'm trying to upgrade and convert to Linux. Started By Monte on Jan 6, 2011 at 7:36:31 AM |
